An island on an island
Located on the Greek island of Anti-Paros in the Cyclades, the gardens of the Villa Petalida screen a small group of guest-house villas. The garden is resolutely mediterranean with subtle fragrance, grey-blue planting, flowering bulbs and iconic trees and shrubs such as Italian cypress, olive trees and cistus. The main path and axis leads to a checker-board garden, half paved in stone, half planted and surrounded by a curved dry-stone wall. The garden also hosts a labyrinth made of lavender hedges and a thyme 'lawn'.
