A nature-reserve safeguarded within the heart of the town, the Ausone site presented huge potential. Teeming with life, the reserve is located in the center of a new housing development and right next to the tramline. A new chapter in the life of this park is beginnng as it expands to become part of a major urban park for the metropolis of Bordeaux.
The proposed development focuses on the conservation of the woodlands and fits into the existing topography. The objective is to better manage the existing natural conservation areas whilst creating zones with new habitats for nature. This in turn this will create a wider range of conservation opportunities and landscape types. The park will become more varied in style and in the ways it can be enjoyed by visitors.
